Start with an ERP migration-readiness review
Use this assessment before committing to a transition plan or estimating data and customization work.
- Share a system and company inventory, key processes, customizations, integrations and the financial history you need to retain.
- I review dependencies, data availability and the decisions that affect migration, coexistence or improvement of the existing system.
- The deliverable is a readiness summary, dependency decisions to resolve, data and reconciliation risks, and recommended next steps.
Target-platform implementation, trial loads and cutover are separately scoped. Discuss migration readiness.
Dynamics GP to Business Central
I review companies, modules, customizations, data history and connected applications before defining the target scope. Each dependency needs a decision: retain it, replace it with standard functionality, redesign it, rebuild it or retire it.
I can contribute to migration planning, target configuration, AL development, interface changes, trial loads and cutover preparation.
Data migration and reconciliation
I work on source profiling, mapping, cleansing and repeatable imports. Validation checks include representative records, opening balances, outstanding transactions, control totals and exceptions that need a business decision.
Matching record counts is only part of acceptance. The migrated data also needs to represent the correct financial and operational state.
Platform assessment and coexistence
Business Central may be the right destination, but the decision should follow process fit and operational requirements. I can help compare improvement, coexistence and migration options, including the source data and integration work needed for a move to another ERP.
For NetSuite or another destination, the target-platform scope is confirmed separately. My contribution can focus on discovery, data preparation, integration and reconciliation where those capabilities fit the project.
What the engagement can deliver
Deliverables can include a migration-readiness assessment, source-to-target mapping, customization and integration decisions, repeatable trial imports, a reconciliation workbook and cutover instructions. The scope defines who accepts the migrated data and how unresolved exceptions are handled.
